Please contact the Reception by dialling ‘0’ from your
room phone from 12 noon to 8.45pm to place your
order for hot and cold meals, snacks and bar drinks.
After finishing your meal, please call Reception and
your tray will be collected from outside your room.

Please note an additional tray charge of £4.50 per
order will apply on top of the food price.

Alarm Calls
Please contact Reception by dialling ‘0’ and they will set an alarm for you.

Assistance (24-hr reception)
Reception is staffed 24 hours. From 11pm to 7am the Night Porter will cover reception to deal with any enquiries. Should you require assistance please dial ‘0’.

Bars
Our Bar is located on the ground floor of the hotel, provides the widest variety of beverages and has a wide range of speciality drinks including cocktails, whisky and gin.

Breakfast
Breakfast in served in the restaurant which is located on the ground floor close to reception. We serve from 7.00am to 10.00am Monday to Sunday.

Car Parking
We offer free car parking to guests at the rear of the hotel, The post code for the Crown Hotel is YO51 9LB. To access the car park, drive down Fishergate with the hotel on your left and turn in left just after the building. There are a small number of spaces. 

Check in-Checkout
Check in time is from 3pm on the day of your arrival. You can upgrade to an early check in for £20, however, if your room is ready before 3pm you are welcome to check in early at no charge.
Check out is by 11am on the day of departure. 

Church Services
Please contact Reception who will advise you on services and locations for religious worship.

Cinema
Our nearest cinema is the ODEON Cinema around 10 Miles from the hotel in Harrogate. The postcode is HG1 5LB. Alternatively there is a mulitplex cinema in York city centre.

Conference Facilities
Please enquire with our Sales Manager for details of our conferencing facilities. St Helena. Conference and private dining, and wedding venue up to 90 people .

Currency Conversion
The nearest bureau de change is at Post Office Travel Money which is located in Ripon with the post code HG4 1NZ, alternatively, the Post Office in Boroughbridge can help also, their post code is YO51 9AA.

Dietary Requirements
If you have any special requirements please contact the manager on duty who will be happy to assist.

If you require directions our Reception team are happy to provide printed route maps and navigation on request.

Disabled Facilities
The hotel has 1, purpose-designed, room for disabled guests. Please ask our reception team if you would like to view the room (subject to availability). Our disabled toilet is located on the ground floor by the Leisure Club.

Doctor, Dentist and Chemist
Should you require assistance, please inform reception, or call the local doctor’s surgery helpline Church Lane Surgery 01423 322309. The nearest minor injury unit is Ripon Hospital 15 minutes away. For more information, please speak to reception. 

Emergency Services
Dial ‘999’ for the police, fire brigade or an ambulance. Please also call Reception on ‘0’ to report the incident and for further assistance.

Fire Procedures
For your comfort and safety, we ask all guests to familiarise themselves with the fire evacuation procedure and fire exits. Please read the fire notice on the back of the bedroom door.  

Flowers
If you wish to send flowers or have them delivered to your room, we would be happy to arrange this for you with our local florist. Please contact reception by dialling ‘0’ with your requirements and they will do their best to accommodate you.

Heating and Cooling
The heating in the room may be adjusted using the thermostat dial on the side of the radiator during the winter months. A limited number of fans are also available – please speak to reception to check availability.

Luggage Assistance
Please ask Reception for help with luggage or luggage storage at any time. Luggage may be stored in the hotel, without charge. (Not secure).

Maintenance
Should you find anything not in working order, please report it to Reception and we will endeavour to repair it as quickly as possible.

No Smoking
Please be aware that the hotel, including all bedrooms, are non-smoking. If guests are found to have smoked inside bedrooms, a charge will be made to cover further cleaning and freshening of the room. Each room is fitted with a smoke detector. Activation will incur further charges to the guest’s account.

Pets
Your four-legged friends are very welcome to visit the Crown Hotel, however we do have a few house rules.
Firstly, dogs are welcome in all areas excluding the hotel’s main restaurant. You are welcome to dine with your well-behaved dog in the Bar, coffee house or outside. 

In regards to staying with us, we do have several rooms which we allow dogs to stay in, please phone us direct to book a dog friendly room on 01423 322328. 

There is a small charge of £10 per dog, per night. 

Restaurant
We have a restaurant on site bookings taken from 12 until 9pm last orders 8.45pm, bookings can be made at Reception, online via your booking or on the Crown hotel website. 

Security
Please ensure that your bedroom windows and doors are closed when you leave the room. We would like to draw your attention to the Hotel Proprietors Act displayed in the reception area and regret to inform you that the hotel cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage to any guest’s property not handed in for safekeeping.

Toiletries
A limited supply of complimentary common items are available from Reception 24 hours a day (i.e., toothpaste/brush, razor, etc)

Voltage
The UK uses a 240v supply with three pin plugs. Please ask Reception if you require an adapter. This usually requires a £5 deposit which is refunded when the adaptor is returned.

Please contact reception to arrange a wake up call.
